Ultimate Flashback

Flashback is a mildly disturbed satire.   The game is interspersed with short easy crossword like puzzles, which also tell the story.  Answering all the puzzles moves the game forward to the next level.

The game is a bit short because making all those sketches is labor intensive.  There are only 5 levels, with a minimum play time of 15 minutes altogether.

     The game controls:

WADS keys control the hovercraft motion.

The mouse controls view direction / direction of travel.

Right mouse button exits text input screens, after the Enter key enters text input.

The E key is zoom view.

The Q key is chase view.

The X key prints ammo and health values.

The Z key toggles the inventory panel.

The function keys toggle shadows, chase view, cockpit view.

The game requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redistributable package available free from Microsoft.

Also needed is some reasonably new version of Microsoft DirectX runtime redistributable., which is also available free from Microsoft.
